Overview Join our team at Elm Creek Brewing as a Barista/Beertender, where your passion for exceptional customer service and love for coffee and craft beer will shine! In this dynamic role, you'll craft delicious coffee drinks, serve a variety of beers and beverages, and create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. Your energy and enthusiasm will help foster memorable experiences, making every visit special. Whether you're pouring a perfectly brewed espresso or recommending the ideal beer, your positive attitude will be the key to delighting our customers and building lasting relationships. Responsibilities Prepare and serve high-quality coffee beverages, including espresso-based drinks, teas, and specialty brews with precision. Pour and serve a diverse selection of beers, ensuring proper presentation and adherence to responsible serving practices. Greet customers warmly, taking orders accurately while providing knowledgeable recommendations on drinks. Operate Toast POS system. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café or bar area in compliance with food safety standards and food handling regulations. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service without sacrificing quality. Handle cash register operations accurately, including cashiering duties like giving change and processing payments. Support inventory management by restocking supplies and monitoring product freshness. Foster a friendly environment by engaging with customers to enhance their experience and encourage repeat visits. Qualifications Proven experience as a barista or beertender in a café, brewery, or retail setting with a strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques is preferred but not required. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively in fast-paced environments. Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during busy hours. Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and accurate order processing. Knowledge of food safety standards, food handling procedures, and proper food preparation techniques. Experience in the food industry or retail environment is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key! Ability to work flexible hours including morning, weekends, or holidays as needed.
