Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a Full Time Barista to join our team of dedicated pastry cooks & cookie obsessed baristas. The Barista will prepare and serve high-quality coffee and espresso beverages, assist customers with bakery selections, maintain a clean and welcoming environment, and provide excellent customer service. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced setting and has a passion for coffee, food, and hospitality. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages. Operate POS system efficiently for order processing and cash handling. Engage with customers warmly, taking orders, answering questions, and providing personalized recommendations. Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in food preparation areas, ensuring compliance with health regulations. Manage cash register transactions accurately, including cash handling, cashiering, and basic math calculations. Assist with food handling and food service tasks, including food packaging. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without compromising quality. Qualifications Previous barista experience is preferred. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours. Knowledge of food safety practices, food handling, and basic math for sales transactions. Ability to work flexible hours including mornings, afternoons, and Saturdays. (While we are busy for the holidays, we don't work any actual holidays! That means Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas & New Year's Day off.)
