Job:
Part Time Barista The Barista plays a vital role in the daily success of Skald by providing high-quality customer experience and outstanding products. Excellent customer service, attention to detail, effective communication, self-motivation, and love for coffee are some of the keys to succeeding in this position. Essential Functions Providing excellent customer service, including greeting the customers first thing when they enter the café. Treating every customer with respect and care.Day-to-day operations:
including but not limited to the opening and closing of the till, stocking, cleaning, restocking café from storage area, cleaning, doing dishes, trash, etc. Handle customer complaints according to Skald policy. Taking orders, writing on cups, adding flavors, prepping frappes. Creating high quality coffee and other drinks by following all receipts and correct processes. Completing pick-up orders. Rotating products, writing dates on inventory according to policies, i.e. milks. Keeping machines clean. Heating breakfast burritos, bagels, cookies according to directions. Write accurate dates on required items when they are received or pulled from the freezer. Completing weekly / daily inventories of the café items according to schedule and as needed. Notify supervisor of low stock items in sufficient time to restock. Keep an accurate record of inventory sold and up to date waste log. Completing all required initial and continuing training. Comply with all food safety requirements. Complete and record all transactions accurately, including counting back change and tracking employee meals and drinks. Role Requirements Valid ServeSafe Certification or similar Food Handler Certification- Required. 2-3 years of Customer service experience
