Green Sage Cafe is eager to find hardworking FOH Barista/Server to join our fun, bustling, fast-casual cafe. We are seeking individuals who have a passion for food, resonate with the values of our company, and respect the lifestyle choices of our customers. We serve a customer base with a variety of dietary restrictions including vegan, gluten-sensitive, dairy-free, etc. Must be a true team player by respecting all staff, proving dependability and showing initiative. Green Sage is open from 8am-3pm. Shifts are available between the hours of 7am-4pm so no late nights are required. Requirements Must have weekend availability Be able to work in a fast paced restaurant environment Ability to work on your feet for six hours or more a day Excellent verbal communication and organization skills Be friendly, outgoing and Previous fast casual, cafe or restaurant experience Benefits No night shifts 50% Meal Discount PTO up to 1 week per year Wellness Benefits through Mercy Me $50 free shoe credit Free Employee Assistance Network The Barista's primary role is to take customer orders, prepare hot and cold beverages and serve menu items to guests with friendly, individualized attention with the goal of giving all customers the best experience possible in the front of the house. Responsibilities Knowledge of menu items, ingredients and potential allergens to customers Training, knowledge and safe usage of equipment to perform all duties Greet customers with fast, friendly and personalized service Take orders quickly and accurately with correct payment methods and cash handling Prepare hot and cold beverages quickly and accurately according to house recipes Deliver orders to customers quickly and accurately Handle customer requests and issues properly and with pleasant demeanor Maintain dining areas by bussing, wiping tables and general dining area maintenance Complete preparation, restocking, cleaning, side work, opening and closing duties per company checklists Assist with dishwashing, order receiving or other duties as requested by In addition to the specific duties of the position all team members are expected to uphold the six expectations of the Green Sage culture.
