Shifts are between 7am and 3:30 pm at the latest. About us Linden Bakery is a small made from scratch bakery, cafe and restaurant. We are making and baking all of our breads and pastries in house, and offering delicious breakfast and lunch sandwiches on those fresh baked breads along with a great coffee selection. We are looking for energetic people with a positive go getter attitude to join our team and help us create and serve delicious food to our community. We are looking for an experienced Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coffee and tea, as well as excellent customer service skills. Responsibilities include preparing and serving a variety of coffee beverages, taking orders, dialing in espresso and providing knowledgeable recommendations to customers. To be successful in these roles, you should have customer service skills and knowledge of coffee and menu. 3-5 days per week (Monday and Tuesday off), weekends necessary, including Sunday.

Responsibilities:

Greet customers as they enter, explain menu items and ingredients if needed Take orders while paying attention to details (e.g. preferences of coffee blend, dairy and sugar ratios) Prepare beverages following recipes Serve prepared food, like cookies, pastries and muffins and run food and drinks to customers Receive and process payments (cash and credit cards) Keep the bar/counter area clean, and comply with health and safety regulations Skills Previous work experience as a Barista Hands-on experience with brewing equipment Knowledge of sanitation regulations Flexibility to work various shifts Basic math skills Ability to gauge customers' preferences Excellent communication skills'
