Job Description

Are you a coffee enthusiast with a love for playful environments? Our local play cafe is seeking a friendly and energetic weekend Barista to join our team! We're looking for someone who can craft delicious beverages, maintain a clean and inviting space, and provide excellent customer service to families enjoying our play area. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a unique and vibrant setting where every day brings smiles and fun.

Responsibilities:

Perform opening duties, including preparing the coffee station and ensuring the cafe is ready for guests. Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, tea, and other beverages according to company specifications and recipes. Regularly check on the condition of the play area and restrooms throughout your shift, ensuring they are clean, safe, and tidy for our young guests and their families. Execute closing duties, which include basic cleaning of the play area, sanitizing surfaces, and restocking supplies alongside the MOD. Assist customers with their orders, answer questions, and provide a welcoming and helpful experience. Handle cash and card transactions accurately.

Qualifications:

Previous barista experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively. A genuine love for children and a patient, friendly demeanor. Weekend availability is a must. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods. Must be able to pass a background check.
