Full Job Description About This Job:
As a Bartender at the Hampton Inn Newark Airport Elizabeth, you are the face of our bar service, crafting memorable experiences for our guests. You prepare and serve a variety of beverages while ensuring a welcoming and efficient atmosphere. Your role is crucial in providing excellent customer service and upholding the standards of our establishment.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepares and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes. Provides exceptional customer service , ensuring guest satisfaction. Practices mixology techniques to create classic and innovative cocktails. Handles cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently. Manages inventory levels and orders supplies as needed. Operates Point of Sale (POS) systems to process orders and payments. Maintains a clean and organized bar area, adhering to food safety standards. Demonstrates comprehensive alcohol knowledge , including responsible serving practices. Supports restaurant operations by assisting with other tasks as needed. Works effectively with the team to ensure smooth and efficient service. Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of bartending experience in a restaurant or hotel setting. Proven experience in customer service .
Knowledge/Skills:
Proficient in mixology and cocktail preparation. Strong cash handling skills. Knowledge of inventory management practices. Familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) systems . Extensive alcohol knowledge and responsible serving practices. Understanding of food safety regulations. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in bartending or related field. Experience with hotel restaurant operations .
Physical Requirements/Work Conditions:
Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
