This dynamic role combines cashier responsibilities with barista duties, allowing you to showcase your customer service skills while preparing and serving high-quality coffee and food. Your energy and multitasking ability will ensure a seamless experience for every guest, creating a welcoming environment that keeps customers coming back. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food handling, retail math, and POS systems within a lively café setting. Duties Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service throughout their visit Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages as a skilled barista, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met Handle food preparation and food safety procedures in accordance with health regulations Manage cashier duties including cash handling, basic math calculations, and issuing receipts efficiently Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front counter, dining area, and POS stations Assist with food service tasks such as serving food items, restocking supplies, and ensuring food safety standards are upheld Support team members during busy periods by multitasking between serving, cashiering, and coffee making to ensure smooth operations Experience Previous barista experience or background in the food industry is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS enhances efficiency in transaction processing Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and excellent communication abilities Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and transaction accuracy Knowledge of food safety practices, food handling procedures, and proper food preparation techniques is advantageous Experience in serving or retail environments helps in delivering exceptional guest experiences This role is perfect for energetic individuals eager to grow their skills in the food service industry while delivering memorable experiences to every guest.
