The successful candidate will prepare high-quality espresso beverages, maintain consistent coffee standards, assist with team training, monitor café supplies, and provide excellent service to guests. The ideal candidate has strong coffee knowledge, leadership skills, and the ability to thrive in a busy café environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare espresso, cappuccino, latte, americano, brewed coffee, tea, and specialty beverages according to café standards. Lead and support baristas during daily café operations and busy service periods. Train and coach team members on coffee preparation, equipment use, service standards, and café procedures. Dial in espresso grinders and adjust brewing parameters to maintain beverage consistency. Monitor beverage quality, presentation, temperature, and portion standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar, equipment, and service areas. Clean and maintain espresso machines, grinders, brewers, and other café equipment. Monitor inventory and restock coffee beans, milk, syrups, cups, pastries, and other café supplies. Assist with ordering and inventory counts when required. Operate POS systems and support accurate payment processing. Address guest questions and service concerns professionally. Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures. Assist with opening and closing procedures. Communicate operational issues and inventory needs to café management. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous barista experience required; lead or supervisory experience is preferred. Strong knowledge of espresso preparation, coffee brewing, and milk steaming. Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced café environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to beverage quality. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads. Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Preferred Skills Experience operating commercial espresso machines and grinders. Knowledge of specialty coffee, espresso extraction, and brewing methods. Experience training or mentoring baristas. Latte art skills are an asset. Familiarity with POS systems and inventory procedures. Strong organizational and time-management abilities. Positive attitude, reliability, and strong work ethic.
