Job Summary Join our vibrant café team as a Barista Cashier, where your energy and enthusiasm will create memorable experiences for every customer. In this dynamic role, you'll serve freshly brewed coffee and delicious food with a smile, handle cash and POS transactions efficiently, and ensure a welcoming environment. Duties Greet customers warmly, taking their orders accurately and efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS. Prepare and serve high-quality coffee beverages, food items, and snacks while adhering to food safety standards. Operate cash registers, handle cash and card transactions with precision, and give correct change using basic math skills. Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food preparation stations, seating areas, and equipment to ensure a safe and inviting environment. Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while balancing multiple tasks seamlessly. Assist in food handling and preparation tasks as needed, following proper food safety protocols. Promote sales by engaging customers with product recommendations and upselling when appropriate. Experience Prior barista experience or background in coffee service is highly preferred. Experience working with POS systems such as SkyTab or Toast is a plus. Demonstrated ability in customer service within a fast-paced retail or food service setting. Knowledge of food handling procedures, serving standards, and food safety regulations. Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy hours. Basic math proficiency for cashiering, retail math, and cash handling responsibilities.
