Barista/Sales Associate

Duties Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, tea, and specialty beverages with precision and care, adhering to food safety standards. Engage with customers warmly, taking orders accurately and providing personalized recommendations to enhance their experience. Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS efficiently for order processing, cash handling, and transactions. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and seating areas. Following food handling protocols. Manage cash register operations with accuracy, including cashiering, basic math calculations, and balancing cash drawers at shift end. Assist in food preparation and serving tasks, ensuring all food safety guidelines are followed diligently. Support sales efforts by promoting products, upselling items, and maintaining product displays to maximize revenue. Qualifications Previous barista experience or coffee industry knowledge is highly preferred; a passion for coffee and/or tea is a plus! Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and enthusiastically. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient transaction processing. Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods smoothly while maintaining quality service. Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and order accuracy. Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures in a café or food service setting. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
