In this dynamic role, you will be the friendly face behind the counter, expertly preparing and serving high-quality coffee and food items while efficiently managing cashier responsibilities. Your passion for excellent customer service and attention to detail will help foster a welcoming environment that keeps guests coming back. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food and beverage service, cash handling, and retail operations within a lively café setting. Duties Greet customers warmly, take their orders accurately, and provide personalized recommendations to enhance their experience Prepare a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and light food items following established recipes and quality standards Operate POS transactions swiftly and accurately Handle cash, credit card payments, and food handling procedures with precision, ensuring proper cash management and register balancing Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and dining spaces in accordance with food safety standards Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers efficiently while maintaining high service standards Assist with inventory management by restocking supplies and monitoring product freshness Qualifications Previous barista experience or background in coffee service is highly preferred Proven cashiering skills with familiarity in POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and transaction accuracy Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours Experience in food preparation or food service within a café or retail setting is a plus Join us to be part of an energetic team dedicated to delivering exceptional coffee experiences.
