Part-Time / Full-Time 20-34hrs/wk About Us We are an authentic Japanese Kissaten Café bringing the flavors of Japan's Western-inspired comfort food to the heart of Brooklyn. Located in the free-flowing 50 Norman, our space, is warm, casual, and community-focused — serving perfectly crafted Japanese-style hamburg steaks, specialty coffee, and artisanal desserts. We're looking for a passionate and versatile Café All-Rounder to join our small, friendly team and help make our guests' experience unforgettable. Key Responsibilities Provide warm, attentive customer service — greet guests, take orders, and manage dine-in and takeout. Assist with food and drink preparation, including making coffee, preparing hamburger patties, and plating simple dishes. Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the café — dining area, service counter, and kitchen. Operate POS system, handle cash and card transactions accurately. Work collaboratively with kitchen and floor staff to ensure efficient service. Restock supplies, monitor inventory, and assist with daily opening and closing tasks. Qualifications Prior café, restaurant, or hospitality experience preferred A friendly, positive attitude with a passion for great food and Japanese culture. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Basic barista or coffee-making experience is a plus. Must have weekend availability (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) and U.S. work authorization. DOH Food Handler's Certificate is a plus Perks Competitive hourly pay + tips.
