We are currently seeking an experienced barista to join our brew crew. In this energetic and fast-paced role, you will hand-craft delicious coffee and beverages from our extensive menu, deliver exceptional customer service, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all guests. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help us serve high-quality drinks while maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient café environment. This is a part-time position with the need for flexibility in scheduling (we are closed on Tuesdays). Weekend availability is a must. This position starts at $13.00 per hour (depending on experience) plus tips. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, specialty beverages and food items with precision and speed. Ensure the café remains organized, stocked, and inviting by managing inventory levels and cleaning work areas regularly. Operate our POS system (Square) to process transactions accurately and efficiently. Operate our scheduling system (Bookeo) to check-in and schedule/adjust reservations. Answer our phones with a warm and friendly greeting. Answer customer questions and inquiries, as well as taking messages when needed. Engage with guests enthusiastically and warmly, taking orders, answering questions, and providing personalized recommendations. Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards by handling food properly and adhering to food handling protocols. Manage cash handling duties including cashiering and basic math calculations. Support food preparation tasks such as assembling snacks or light food items in accordance with safety guidelines. Requirements Previous barista experience and coffee knowledge is required. Cat knowledge is a plus! Familiarity with POS systems like Square. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and energetically. Strong time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently while maintaining quality standards. Knowledge of food safety practices, food handling procedures, and retail math for accurate transactions. Ability to stand for extended periods, lift light loads, and work in a fast-paced environment. Basic math skills for cash handling, sales calculations, and register reconciliation are essential. Reliability and the ability to work a flexible schedule are a must.
