Job Description
Overview We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our vibrant café team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coffee, excellent customer service skills, and experience in food and beverage preparation. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where quality and customer satisfaction are top priorities. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing beverages, serving customers, and maintaining a clean and welcoming café atmosphere. Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages and specialty drinks with precision and consistency. Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing and cash handling. Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing inquiries professionally. Manage cash register operations, including cash handling, sales transactions, and basic math calculations. Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in food preparation areas and dining spaces. Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including serving light snacks or baked goods. Ensure timely order fulfillment through effective time management and multitasking skills. Uphold food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures at all times. Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth operations. Qualifications Previous barista experience or background in the food industry is preferred. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse customers. Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and sales transactions. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours. Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, afternoons, or evenings as needed.
