As a Weekend Barista, you will be the face of our café, delivering exceptional beverage and food service while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help us serve high-quality drinks and ensure our customers leave satisfied and eager to return. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including specialty coffees, teas, and other drinks, ensuring quality and consistency. Operate POS systems such as Toast POS and LightSpeed POS to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently. Handle cash register operations, process cash transactions, and give correct change while maintaining precise cash handling procedures. Maintain cleanliness of the café area by regularly cleaning equipment, counters, tables, and food preparation zones in accordance with food safety standards. Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders promptly, and addressing any questions or special requests professionally. Assist in food handling and preparation tasks to ensure timely delivery of food items that meet safety standards. Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers quickly without sacrificing quality or safety. Qualifications Previous barista experience or café experience is highly preferred; familiarity with beverage service is essential. Knowledge of POS systems is a plus; strong cash handling skills are required. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively with diverse customers. Basic math skills for processing cash transactions accurately and managing register operations. Understanding of food safety practices, food handling procedures, and proper beverage preparation techniques. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours while maintaining attention to detail.
