Part-Time Barista Position

Hello, we are a small coffeeshop located in downtown Beaverton, between the Beaverton High School and the city library. We have one opening for a part-time barista position. This position would not be a set schedule but would guarantee two shifts a weeks with the promise of additional hours as we head into our busy season and current staff takes time off. Sunday availability is required for this shift.

About these shifts:

These shifts are a mix of working alone and working with a full team on one of our busiest days of the week so you will need to be fully trained in every area including cashiering to preparing hot sandwiches to crafting specialty coffee drinks.

• already has past experience working as a barista in a coffeehouse setting or similar coffee experience
• Please note
• the right candidate will be willing to adapt to our training standards and make coffee drinks in accordance with our specialty coffee metrics.

We have our own barista training course, tailored to represent the coffee we roast and it may mean abandoning barista methods learned with other companies that aren't in line with the standard at Mutts-has previous experience working in a kitchen/restaurant environment and possesses skills that will allow for quick and efficient learning of the food program offered at Mutts-Can work independently or alongside another team member albeit a co-worker or one or both of the owners

• Can prepare hot and cold food menu items with attention to detail and presentation while following health code at all times-Feels comfortable processing online orders via Doordash software while running the front-end-Can work in a small space with limited counter space at a fast paced environment (similar to working in a food cart space but with a dining room attached
• Can pay attention to detail and quality with every order and treat every customer with professionalism and kindness
• Practices good communication and customer service skills and feels comfortable moving a line quickly and efficiently
