Seaforest Bakeshop is a Korean-American bakery serving freshly baked pastries and great coffee in our sunny corner cafe. We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic barista to join our team. Requirements:

2+ years recent barista experience• Proficiency with espresso machine (manual machine experience is ideal) Weekend availability• (at least 1 day), ability to cover additional shifts occasionally 3 shifts per week standard, 8 hour shifts Ability to stand for extended periods, lift/carry up to 50 lbs, climb stairs

Responsibilities:

Keep espresso machine dialed in, drip coffee always fresh, and drink ingredients are stocked and prepared for service Follow recipes and uphold high standard of quality and consistency in every drink Handle payments, package pastries, provide positive customer experience Communicate with kitchen to keep pastry case full and well presented throughout the day Learn all menu items to converse comfortably with customers about ingredients, flavors and origins Keep all cafe areas clean and organized Ideal applicants are: Strong multitaskers Self-motivated and able to complete responsibilities independently Collaborative workers, able to give and receive feedback Genuinely interested in learning about Korean ingredients and culture and reflecting that knowledge into customer interactions Interested in experimenting with new flavors and contributing to ongoing drink development

Pay:

$15.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 24.0 per week
