Barista Cashier

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate, kind and career-oriented person to join our team in a vibrant café environment. The ideal candidate will bring a positive outlook to our team, have a strong background in customer service and food and/or beverage preparation, with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for our customers (and team members alike). As a front-of-house team member, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality coffee, cocktails and preparing light food, maintaining the café's cleanliness, and providing exceptional service to enhance the customer experience. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, including food preparation areas, equipment, and dining spaces. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling practices. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, pastries, and other supplies. Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment while ensuring efficient service during peak hours. Qualifications Previous barista experience or strong food and bev knowledge is preferred. Must operate with an even keel and approach challenges with positivity. Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with customers. Familiarity with food safety standards and food preparation techniques is essential. Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations. Experience in the food industry or food service is an advantage. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
