Full Job Description Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items to our customers. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about coffee and have a keen eye for detail. Weekday and one weekend day availability is a big plus! Tips paid out daily on top of minimum wage pay.Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including specialty coffee drinks, teas, and other specialty items.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all health and safety standards.
- Take orders and operate a cash register efficiently and accurately.
- Handle cash and operate a point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Manage time effectively to meet sales goals and maintain a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless service and maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
- Perform basic math calculations and handle cash transactions accurately.
- Maintain knowledge of menu items and ingredients.
- Stay up-to-date on coffee trends and menu offerings.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by providing exceptional service and responding to customer feedback.
Skills:
- Experience working in a café or coffee shop environment is a plus but not required.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and operating a cash register.
- Ability to prepare and serve food items, including sandwiches and pastries.
- Knowledge of coffee and coffee-making techniques.
- Experience operating a POS system and handling cash transactions.
- Strong time management skills to maintain a fast-paced environment.
- Retail math skills for managing sales and inventory.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and maintain a positive attitude.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
