Cashier and Barista Job Summary:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Cashier and Barista at our donut coffee shop. This role combines friendly customer service, efficient point-of-sale operations, and skilled beverage preparation to ensure every customer leaves with a smile and a high-quality experience. This would be for our new West Ashley Store opening in the beginning of April!Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service Greet customers warmly and provide a welcoming atmosphere. Assist customers with selecting donuts, pastries, and beverages. Answer questions about menu items, ingredients, and dietary options. Address customer feedback and resolve complaints professionally. Cashier Duties Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently. Process cash, credit, and mobile payments accurately. Handle refunds and exchanges in accordance with company policies. Maintain the cash register's balance and complete end-of-day reporting. Barista Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages following company recipes and standards. Operate espresso machines, grinders, and brewing equipment. Maintain beverage station cleanliness and organization. Monitor inventory levels for coffee, syrups, and other barista supplies. General Operations Package and present donuts and pastries attractively. Restock display cases, coffee station supplies, and utensils as needed. Keep the front of the house clean, including tables, counters, and floors. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow during busy periods.Requirements:
Prior experience in customer service or as a barista is preferred but not required. Basic math and cash-handling skills. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Passion for coffee, donuts, and creating exceptional customer experiences.Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods. Comfortable with light lifting (up to 25 lbs) for stocking and inventory tasks. Manual dexterity to operate coffee-making equipment and handle packaging tasks.Perks and Benefits:
