The Swamp Cafe is a fun and fast-paced environment focused on serving delicious food with fresh seasonal and local ingredients and craft espresso drinks. Customer service and excellent food quality are the heart of cafe operations. The Barista is the go-to person for customer coffee cravings and we strive to be the best in town in quality, taste, presentation and service.

Requirements:

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

Performs opening and closing duties including setting up and breaking down several stations such as an espresso machine, pastry display and kegerator Accurately rings up customers and takes payment using POS system Takes and fulfills customer orders with urgency, kindness and accuracy Effectively manages customer flow by grouping orders and drink production; proactively asks Front of House management for help to prevent increased wait times Creates a variety of espresso drinks by operating espresso and brewing equipment and following recipes, portion and presentation standards

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS?

AGE/AVAILABILITY Must be 21 years of age or older Must be available nights, evenings and weekends between the hours of 6:00am and 8:00pm

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Must possess a passion for local food and an interest in telling the story behind it. Must conduct oneself in an honest, professional and respectful manner at all times. Must possess a love of people, interact with people well, and possess a desire for excellent customer service. Able to take direction, work independently, and as a member of a team, and able to create working relationships. Must be highly motivated, hard working, and possess a positive, enthusiastic attitude. Must pay attention to details, be organized, and able to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
