Must be outgoing, someone that wants to learn more about coffee (wants to talk coffee with customers). We are looking for someone that can work independently and with a team. Isn't afraid to admit when they need help or to ask for help when needed. We are looking for someone that cares about using their best customer service skills possible while making a fantastic drink or tasty treat! Pay Starts at 11.00 plus tips. Job Summary This position contributes to Grand Strand Coffee success by providing incredible customer service. This job creates the Grand Strand Coffee experience for our customers by providing customers with quality beverages and products and maintaining a clean and comfortable shop environment. We are looking for a Barista to prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, including various types of coffee and tea as well as tasty treats and sandwiches.

this position's compensation includes hourly pay plus tips. Ultimately, you'll ensure an excellent drinking experience for our guests. Summary of Key Responsibilities and Basic Qualifications Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: Acts with integrity, honesty, and knowledge Maintains a happy demeanor during periods of high and low volume or unusual events to keep shop operating to standard and to set a positive example for fellow co-workers and customers Anticipates customer and shop's needs, by evaluating environment and customers for cues Communicates information to manager so that the team can respond as necessary to create the positive environment during each shift Discovers and responds to customer needs Maintains a clean and organized workspace so that employees can locate resources and product as needed Provides quality beverages, whole bean, and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards and willing to learn about coffee (where it comes from, what it taste like, the different brew methods) Follows health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products. Maintains regular and punctual attendance Maintains a positive work environment Summary of Experience Food service/customer service helpful Available to work flexible hours that include early mornings (6:30am) and weekends ( both Saturday and Sunday) Meet shop operating policies and standards, including providing quality beverages and food products, cash handling and shop safety and security Engage with and understand our customers, including discovering and responding to customer needs through clear and pleasant communication Prepare food and beverages to standard recipes or customized for customers, including recipe changes such as temperature, quantity of ingredients or substituted ingredients Available to perform many different tasks within the shop during each shift Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Must Like Coffee Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when needed Strong interpersonal skills Ability to work as part of a team or individually Cash handling experience Ability to build relationships Ability to lift 30 lbs
