• Job Overview • Looking to start something new in the Knoxville area? Well i think you just found it. Brew Krew Coffee is opening it's second location in Knoxville and we are looking for you! Join our Krew as an Entry-Level Barista and become the heart of a welcoming coffee/drink community! This energetic role offers the opportunity to learn how to craft delicious beverages, deliver exceptional customer service, and develop foundational skills in food and retail operations. Whether you're passionate about coffee and cool drink like dirty sodas and refreshers or eager to learn the breakfast food service industry, this position provides a dynamic/upscale environment to grow your career while making every guest's experience memorable. Paid training ensures you'll gain the expertise needed to excel in a fast-paced, friendly setting. Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, dirty sodas, and other drinks with precision and care Greet customers warmly, and taking orders accurately, all while providing friendly and efficient service ensures good tips Operate POS systems such as Sqaure POS and Apple iPad knowledge for cash handling, order processing, and quick sales transactions Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and seating areas as well as restrooms if needed. Follow food safety standards and proper food handling procedures to ensure quality and safety Learn the in's and outs of operating a espresso machine properly, and maintain good daily cleaning habits of the machine as well Support food preparation activities such as assembling snacks or light meals when necessary Assist in inventory management by restocking supplies and monitoring product freshness for upcoming store orders Uphold excellent customer service by addressing guest situations promptly and professionally Experience Previous barista experience or background in coffee or food service is preferred but not required ; enthusiasm to learn is essential Familiarity with POS systems like Square POS or is a plus but training will be provided Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods Previous Customer service jobs that dealt with being kind, patient, and understanding Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment with a focus on food safety and proper food handling practices Knowledge of the food industry standards related to food preparation, serving, and safety regulations is advantageous Eligibility Although we are looking for Part and Full time candidates, we are still opening a NEW location so in the begining we will need all hands-on deck as often as your flexibility allows. Black Friday is manditory and Christmas eve morning is as well. Pay Based on previous experience and availability will truly determine your overall pay. Entry level starts at 9 per hour and our average barista gets 7 to 9 dollars in tips per hour as well. Bringing your average pay per hour 17 to 18$ per hour.
