Your passion for coffee, beverages, and food service will inspire your team to deliver top-notch service, maintain cleanliness, and uphold food safety standards. You will oversee daily operations, ensure efficient sales transactions, and foster a positive environment that encourages teamwork and excellence. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop leadership skills while making a meaningful impact on our customers' day. Duties Lead and motivate a team of baristas during assigned shifts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and operational efficiency Prepare a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including specialty coffees, teas, and other drink service items with precision and consistency Oversee retail sales transactions using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS, processing cash, credit card, and mobile payments accurately Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food handling stations, beverage prep zones, and customer seating areas Ensure food safety standards are met by adhering to proper food handling procedures and sanitation protocols Manage cash handling responsibilities by processing cash transactions accurately and balancing registers at shift end Support team development through coaching on beverage preparation, customer service techniques, time management, and food industry best practices Experience Previous barista experience with a strong understanding of coffee preparation and beverage service techniques Proven leadership experience in a café or food service environment, demonstrating the ability to manage a team effectively during busy periods Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for sales processing and transaction management Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures in a retail or café setting Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse customers Strong math skills for cash handling, processing transactions accurately, and managing register balances Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in fast-paced environments Time management skills to prioritize tasks during shifts and ensure smooth operations Join us as a Barista Shift Leader where your energy fuels our success!
