As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages while ensuring a welcoming atmosphere in our café. This role requires a blend of customer service skills and knowledge of coffee preparation techniques to deliver high-quality drinks and maintain customer satisfaction. Duties Prepare and serve coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and standards. Operate the POS systems for order taking and payment processing. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, including food preparation areas, equipment, and seating spaces. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Handle cash transactions accurately while ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed. Assist in food preparation and ensure compliance with food safety standards. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality. Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment and enhance overall customer experience. Skills Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse clientele. Familiarity with POS systems is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations. Knowledge of food safety practices and food handling regulations within the food industry. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated when necessary.
