Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and flair. Greet customers warmly, take their orders efficiently, and provide friendly, attentive service throughout their visit. Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for smooth transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing. Manage cashier duties accurately by handling cash, making change, and balancing registers at shift end. Assist in food preparation and food handling tasks to ensure quality standards are met for all café offerings. Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in accordance with health regulations; ensure the café remains inviting and hygienic. Support sales goals by promoting menu items and upselling products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase revenue. Skills Proven experience as a barista with strong coffee-making skills and knowledge of beverage recipes. Previous cashiering experience utilizing POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests. Effective time management to prioritize tasks during busy shifts while maintaining attention to detail. Basic math skills for cash handling, sales calculations, and retail math accuracy. Knowledge of food safety procedures, food preparation techniques, and proper food handling practices. Strong communication skills paired with a friendly attitude to foster a welcoming café environment.
