Harlingen Medical Center - Harlingen, TX The Gift Shop Barista/Coordinator will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Gift Shop including preparing beverages/sandwiches, ordering supplies, managing inventory, pricing merchandise, restocking displays, and handling sales reporting and vendor invoicing. Responsibilities Greet and assist patients, visitors, and staff by providing friendly, knowledgeable customer service Sell gifts, flowers, snacks, and other items, handling cash and electronic payments accurately Prepare coffee, teas, and other beverages. Prepares cold and warm sandwiches. Restock merchandise, arranges displays, and ensures the shop is clean, organized, and welcoming Assist with inventory management, including receiving and pricing new stock Support fundraising efforts by promoting special sales, gift wrapping, and other volunteer-run initiatives Maintain confidentiality and sensitivity to the hospital environment and patient needs Qualifications 1. High School Graduate or GED Equivalent Required (effective 4/1/14 for all new hires) 2. Two years in retail or sales preferred. 3. Merchandise display preferred. 4.
