Job Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Barista to join our specialty coffee team at Earth Coffee. The ideal candidate has a strong enthusiasm for crafting high-quality coffee, tea, specialty beverages, smoothies and seasonal drinks, along with the ability to prepare a variety of light food items such as sandwiches and similar offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and serve a wide range of coffee and espresso-based beverages to specialty standards and master various brewing methods. Brew high-quality teas, including matcha, using proper techniques such as whisking, temperature control, and presentation standards. Prepare, assemble, and serve fresh sandwiches and toasts while maintaining high hygiene standards and ensuring attractive, quality presentation and plating. Ensure food and beverage consistency, accuracy, and quality in every order. Ensure proper calibration of grinders and espresso machines throughout the day. Create and maintain high standards of latte art and drink presentation. Provide guidance and training to junior baristas and new hires. Greeting customers with a friendly attitude and help them choose and place their orders with ease. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace in line with health and safety standards. Monitor inventory and assist with ordering coffee, milk, café supplies, and other light fare snack supplies. Stay current on specialty coffee trends and brewing innovations. Must have flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
Requirements:
Specialty coffee experience and Latte art experience required. Deep knowledge of coffee origins, processing methods, and roasting levels. Skilled in espresso calibration and manual brewing techniques. Strong customer service and communication skills. Strong multitasking skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Capable of lifting 50 pounds or more and performing repetitive tasks involving a full range of motion. Ability to stand for extended periods of time

Pay:
$9.00
