Job Description
Barista - Divine Café Overview Divine Café is seeking reliable, energetic, and customer-focused Baristas to join our growing team. This role involves preparing high-quality beverages and food items, maintaining a clean and organized café environment, and consistently delivering warm, attentive customer service. We are looking for team members who take pride in their work and are committed to professionalism, consistency, and reliability. This role requires 35 hours per week, including weekend availability. Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of coffees, teas, smoothies, and café beverages Prepare café food items including paninis, breakfast items, and other menu offerings. Operate the POS system accurately Maintain cleanliness and organization of all work areas, including equipment, counters, prep areas, and dining space. Restock supplies, manage prep tasks, and support opening/closing duties. Engage positively with guests, offering recommendations and providing a welcoming café experience. Follow all food safety guidelines, Texas food-handling requirements, and health regulations. Uphold a standing, active barista role throughout the entire shift. Contribute to a team-first environment that values punctuality, professionalism, and reliability. Essential Physical Requirements This role requires the ability to: Stand and remain physically active for the entire duration of each shift. Lift, carry, and move items up to 25 lbs (syrups, milk jugs, boxes, equipment, etc.) Bend, reach, and move safely around kitchen and café spaces. Perform repetitive motions associated with beverage and food preparation. Experience Prior café, coffee shop, or food-service experience required. Strong customer-service skills and ability to communicate clearly and kindly. Familiarity with POS systems preferred. Reliability, professionalism, and eagerness to learn are essential. Food handler certification is required, or must be obtained within 30 days of employment
