Duties Prepare and serve a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met. Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently. Engage with customers in a friendly manner, taking orders, answering questions about menu items, and providing personalized recommendations. Maintain cleanliness of the café area by cleaning equipment, counters, and seating areas regularly to uphold food safety standards. Handle cash transactions with precision, process payments, give correct change, and balance cash drawers at shift end. Follow food handling protocols to ensure safe preparation and storage of food items in accordance with food safety regulations. Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining high-quality service. Skills Proven experience as a Barista or in food service roles within the food industry or café environment. Strong knowledge of beverage service techniques and non-alcoholic drink preparation. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for retail sales transactions. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and warmly with diverse guests. Basic math skills for processing cash transactions accurately and managing register operations. Ability to perform food handling tasks safely while adhering to food safety standards. Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours without compromising quality or service.
