Position:
The Barista/Bartender is responsible for delivering exceptional, world-class guest service by preparing and serving a variety of specialty coffee beverages, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, and menu items in a friendly, efficient, and professional manner. This position may also support banquet and special event operations by assisting with event setup, food and beverage service, and event breakdown as needed while maintaining high standards of quality, cleanliness, and hospitality.
Essential Responsibilities:
Prepares and sets up the barista/bar area for daily operations, ensuring all equipment, supplies, and products are clean, stocked, and ready for service. Welcomes guests in a friendly, professional, and engaging manner, providing exceptional hospitality and creating a positive guest experience. Verifies all guests age prior to serving alcoholic beverages in accordance with company policies and all applicable local, state, and federal laws. Will serve alcoholic beverages responsibly at all times. Prepares and serves a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, espresso drinks, specialty beverages, cocktails, beer, wine, and other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, customizing orders to guest preferences. Prepares and serves menu items, baked goods, and grab-and-go offerings while ensuring quality presentation and food safety standards. Provides knowledgeable recommendations regarding menu items, beverages, and promotions while answering guest questions in a courteous and helpful manner. Accurately entesr food and beverage orders into the point-of-sale (POS) system and processes guest payments. Answers telephone calls as needed to assist guests with food and beverage orders or inquiries in a friendly and professional manner. Maintains clean, organized, and fully stocked beverage stations, condiment areas, and guest service areas throughout each shift. Cleans and sanitizes equipment, utensils, dishes, counters, seating areas, and workstations in accordance with company standards and health department regulations. Monitors and documents temperatures of refrigerators, freezers, and other food and beverage equipment to ensure food safety compliance. Stocks, receive, rotate, and inventory food, beverage, retail, and operating supplies as assigned. Assists with banquet and special event operations by setting up banquet rooms and beverage stations, providing food and beverage service during events, and completing banquet breakdown and cleanup following event completion. Support banquet operations by arranging tables, chairs, linens, service stations, and event equipment to ensure events are prepared according to banquet event orders (BEOs) and company standards. Works collaboratively with fellow team members and other hotel departments to ensure efficient operations and exceptional guest service. Follow all company policies, safety procedures, sanitation standards, and brand requirements. Communicate professionally and effectively with guests, management, team members, vendors, and the public while maintaining a positive and service-oriented attitude. Performs other duties as assigned to support hotel operations and guest satisfaction. Embraces O'Reach, Green Team, Guest Service, Team Member Satisfaction, Health & Wellness, and Safety culture.
Skills & Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to follow all safe food handling procedures and sanitation practices. Has the ability to multitask and manage multiple orders simultaneously, the ability to memorize and recall faces, names, and preferences of frequent patrons, all with a friendly and professional attitude. Ability to serve customers quickly, efficiently, and kindly.
Education, Requirements, & Experience:
Must be 21 years old. Prior bartending or barista experience is preferred but not required. A high school diploma or GED preferred is preferred. Hospitality or guest service experience is preferred but not required. Must successfully complete training in food preparation, food service skills, and customer service procedures. This position is an on-site position. Regular in-person attendance at the property is an essential function of the role to support daily operations, guest service, and team member collaboration.

Work Conditions:
This position is primarily performed indoors in a fast-paced hotel or food and beverage environment. Occasional outdoor work may be required to support banquet functions, special events, or other operational needs. This role requires frequent interaction with guests, prolonged standing and walking, and may involve exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, hot surfaces, cleaning chemicals, and weather conditions when working outdoors.
