Barista Love Jo Coffee About Us We are a mobile coffee shop that has been operating for the past two months. We are preparing to relocate to a secured jobsite where we expect to serve up to 1,000 customers per day. This will be a fast-paced, high-volume environment requiring efficiency and strong customer service skills. The jobsite operates under government regulations and is equipped with security cameras. All personnel will be required to wear badges and follow access protocols when entering and exiting the site. This is a three-year project, and employment will be evaluated upon completion of the job. Job Summary We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional customer service while preparing high-quality coffee and food items in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in food and beverage service, POS systems, and retail operations. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with precision and consistency. Operate POS systems such as Square Manage customer orders efficiently, ensuring timely service during busy hours. Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities. Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in food preparation and serving areas. Assist with food preparation tasks, including basic food handling and serving food items. Ensure the café environment remains welcoming, organized, and hygienic at all times. Manage time effectively to serve multiple customers while maintaining quality standards. Support inventory management by restocking supplies as needed. Skills Proven experience as a Barista or in food service roles within the food industry. Familiarity with POS systems such as Square. Excellent time management skills to handle high-volume periods efficiently. Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and sales transactions. Knowledge of food safety procedures and proper food handling techniques. Ability to perform food preparation tasks with attention to detail. Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and assist customers. Ability to learn quickly and listen/implement instructions given by managers. Punctual. Must show up on-time, preferably 5-10 min before shift begins.

Hours of Operation:

5AM - 2PM (Hours may adjust dispending on demand).

Shifts:

4-8 hour shifts

Pay:

$10.00 - $15.00 per hour +

Shift Tip Pay:

$10.00 - $15.00 per hour
