Duties Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS. Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items following established recipes and safety standards. Operate cash registers, handle cash and card transactions with precision, and give correct change using basic math skills. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and seating spaces, adhering to food safety guidelines. Manage order flow efficiently during busy periods by prioritizing tasks with strong time management skills. Upsell menu items to enhance sales opportunities while providing exceptional customer service. Follow all food handling and safety procedures to ensure a safe environment for both customers and staff. Skills Previous barista experience with knowledge of coffee preparation techniques. Proven cashiering skills with experience using POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests. Strong time management abilities to handle multiple orders smoothly during peak hours. Basic math proficiency for cash handling, retail math, and accurate transaction processing. Knowledge of food safety standards, food handling, and food preparation practices. Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and assist customers efficiently.
