The ideal candidate will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. As a Barista, you will play a key role in creating memorable experiences for our guests while showcasing your knowledge of coffee and food service. This position is for 30-40 hours weekly. Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, are mandatory. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items according to established recipes and standards. Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Operate the Clover POS system for cash handling and sales transactions efficiently. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including workstations, equipment, and dining spaces. Adhere to food safety and handling guidelines to ensure the highest quality of products served. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, supplies, and food items. Engage with customers to provide recommendations based on their preferences and promote special offers or new products. Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment that fosters teamwork and support. Qualifications Previous experience in food service or retail is preferred. Strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques is a plus; familiarity with various brewing methods is desirable. Basic understanding of retail math for accurate cash handling and sales reporting. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers and team members. Knowledge of food safety practices and food handling regulations is essential. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
