Job Summary Ynot Italian is seeking a friendly, dependable, and detail-oriented Cashier to support daily restaurant operations and provide a welcoming experience for every guest. The ideal candidate will accurately process orders and payments, assist guests with menu questions, maintain an organized front counter, and work closely with the restaurant team to ensure smooth and efficient service. Key Responsibilities Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional service. Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently. Operate the POS system and process cash, card, and other payments accurately. Provide guests with receipts and verify transaction details. Answer questions about menu items, ingredients, beverages, and available options. Assist guests with takeout, pickup, and ordering requests. Communicate orders accurately with kitchen and service team members. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming cashier and front-counter area. Restock menus, packaging, utensils, napkins, condiments, and other front-counter supplies. Assist with order accuracy and ensure guests receive the correct items. Handle guest requests and concerns in a polite and professional manner. Follow cash-handling, food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures. Assist with opening, closing, and daily restaurant duties. Support team members during busy meal periods. Perform additional responsibilities assigned by restaurant management. Requirements Previous restaurant, cashier, retail, hospitality, or food-service experience is preferred but not required. Friendly, professional, and guest-focused attitude. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Basic cash-handling and POS experience is a plus. Strong attention to detail and order accuracy. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Ability to follow instructions and established procedures. Reliable attendance and strong work ethic. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and busy service periods. Preferred Skills Previous restaurant or Italian food-service experience. Experience operating POS systems and handling payments. Strong guest-service and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy. Good organization and time-management skills. Experience handling takeout and pickup orders. Positive attitude and willingness to learn restaurant procedures. Ability to work effectively with kitchen, service, and management teams.
