Job Description
August First, an artisan bakery with strong community connections, in Burlington, Vermont, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Barista/Front of House (FOH) Team Member to join our team. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for ensuring a high-quality guest experience, working with the FOH Managers and the FOH team, and actively contributing to the efficient operation of our busy bakery.
Responsibilities:
- Work diligently at the front counter, engaging with customers, taking orders, and ensuring a smooth and positive interaction.
- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that every guest has a positive and memorable experience in our bustling bakery environment.
- Gain product knowledge and to educate guests about our products.
- Gain knowledge in coffee operations and ability to make exceptional coffee and espresso drinks for guests in a busy fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrate proficiency in using the Toast POS system for order processing and transaction management.
- Step in to assist the kitchen and baking staff when needed, promoting a cohesive and supportive work environment.
Requirements:
Knowledge and comfort with the food menu, with a deep understanding of bakery functions and offerings. Experience and knowledge in coffee operations. Proficiency with the Toast POS system. Ability to handle difficult interpersonal situations professionally, whether with guests or team members.Skills and Qualifications:
Previous experience in a similar role in the hospitality industry. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Flexibility to work in a busy and fast-paced work environment. Commitment to providing a consistent, high-quality, and welcoming customer experience.Pay:
$23.00- $25.
