We're looking for a friendly, energetic Cafe Attendant / Barista to join our team and help create a welcoming, community-focused café experience. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in great service, and loves coffee (or is excited to learn). If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy being part of a team, you'll fit right in. What You'll Do Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, espresso, and tea beverages Take customer orders and process transactions accurately Provide warm, welcoming, and efficient customer service Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked café environment Answer customer questions and make recommendations Follow all health, safety, and food handling guidelines Position pays $17.50 to $20.00 per hour based on experience For more information on our benefits please go to: https://sjcc.org/about/services/employment-at-the-j/

Requirements:

What You Bring Positive attitude and strong customer service skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Reliability and attention to detail Previous café or food service experience is a plus, but not required Previous experience as a barista or in a similar customer service role preferred Knowledge of coffee and tea preparation techniques Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays Experience with different espresso machines a plus SJCC is an Equal Opportunity Employer Our vision is to be the Puget Sound's most open and welcoming community-centered Jewish organization.
