Overview Join our vibrant café team as a Seasonal Part Time Weekend Barista, where your energy and passion for coffee will create memorable experiences for our customers! Duties Prepare and serve high-quality coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with precision and enthusiasm Operate POS systems to process transactions accurately and efficiently Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food prep stations and seating areas Handle cash, credit card transactions, and cash handling procedures with accuracy using proper cashiering techniques Provide outstanding customer service by greeting guests warmly, answering questions about menu items, and accommodating special requests Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling practices to ensure a safe environment for both staff and customers Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks during busy periods Skills Previous barista experience or coffee industry knowledge to craft beverages confidently Familiarity with POS systems like Square for smooth transaction processing Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during peak hours Excellent customer service skills to create welcoming interactions that encourage repeat visits Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and accurate register operations Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures Ability to work well independently and as part of a team in a café or retail environment This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in the food service industry.
