$17/hr. during training → $19/hr. after training About Us Ground to Perfection Espresso Bar & Bakery is a family-run, fast-paced grab-and-go coffee shop located in downtown Port Townsend. We're known for our cozy atmosphere, big personality, and cookies as big as your head. With a second location opening in Port Ludlow this February, our team is expanding — and we're looking for someone reliable, upbeat, and committed to doing great work. What We're Looking For We are currently hiring for Port Townsend , with opportunities to transition or pick up shifts in Port Ludlow once that location opens.

This role requires someone who:

Is available evenings and weekends Is 18+ and not currently enrolled in high school Has reliable transportation Has (or will obtain) a Washington State Food Handler's Permit Enjoys a fast-paced work environment Can follow systems, checklists, and recipes accurately Communicates well, is coachable, and works respectfully with others Coffee experience is a plus, but we're willing to train the right person.

Job Duties You will:

Provide warm, friendly customer service Prepare espresso drinks and blended beverages accurately Use established recipes, portion sizes, and drink build standards Keep the espresso bar clean, stocked, and organized Follow all health and safety protocols Complete opening/closing duties using daily checklists Operate POS and handle transactions honestly and accurately Support team members with restocking, cleaning, or bakery tasks Communicate professionally following our chain of command Expectations & Accountability To keep the shop running smoothly, all employees must follow the standards outlined in the Ground to Perfection Employee Agreement , including: Attendance & Reliability Arrive on time and prepared for your shift Call (not text) if sick or in an emergency — no-call/no-shows result in immediate write-up Limited shift swapping (requires management approval) Communication Use Slack for shift updates, checklists, and team communication Participate in weekly 1:1 check-ins (paid 15 minutes/week) Maintain a positive, respectful attitude — gossip and disrespect are not tolerated Phones & Professionalism Phones away during shifts unless used for work functions No social media, texting, or personal calls while clocked in No photos/video without permission Time Tracking Must clock in/out using Homebase AND sign the physical timesheet Falsifying hours or forgetting to clock in/out may result in disciplinary action Baking Team Only (if applicable) Recipes are confidential and must be followed exactly No altering, sharing, or distributing recipes Benefits Paid training Employee discount Flexible scheduling Advancement opportunities (especially with Port Ludlow opening) How to Apply Submit a resume .
