Fika is the coffee shop and bakery located at Farm 12 Restaurant & Events in Puyallup, Washington. About the role Fika Cashier/Barista is responsible for creating a positive and friendly environment in every personal interaction while ensuring a consistent and quality product is provided to our guests.
PLEASE NOTE
This position requires SUNDAY availability. Shifts start at 5:30am. Additional schedule may vary. What you'll do Present an overall best in class environment for all guests by offering a warm greeting, clean environment, friendly service, and reliable product while ensuring guests feel like they are part of our family. Prepare, heat, serve bakery items. Plate and provide finishing touches on specific pastry items as trained by Pastry Chef. Consistently following recipes, prepare or serve hot or cold beverages, such as coffee, espresso drinks, blended coffees, or teas as needed. Count till at beginning and end of shift. Using a POS system, receive and process guest payments. Conduct temperature log procedures three times during shift. Monitor product counts in pastry case and refill accordingly. Following all food and safety regulations, clean and sanitize work areas, utensils, or equipment; which includes guest seating areas, restrooms, other areas as requested. Learn and remain educated on all menu items. Passionately explain menu items, offering suggestions and samples when applicable. Keep all products stocked and organized per company standards. Other responsibilities assigned as business needs require. Qualifications 1 year experience as a Barista/Cashier in a high-volume cafe environment. Must have a high standard of customer service and genuine care for giving guests an excellent experience. Ability to work independently and as a member of a team. Hours are part-time,
