Schedule :

Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM to 2:30 PM ; Occasional evenings or weekends for events ; Food truck shifts when scheduled About Jazzy's Café Jazzy's Café is a locally owned café in South Tacoma known for fresh lunch, breakfast, wings, and specialty drinks. We serve handcrafted beverages, host special events, and operate a food trailer seasonally. We are looking for a reliable and motivated Café Barista who enjoys customer service, specialty drinks, and stepping into a leadership role. This is an entry-level leadership position with structured training, systems, and support provided. The Role As the Café Barista you will prepare specialty drinks, serve food, support team members, manage inventory, and help keep daily operations organized. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys barista work and is ready to grow into leadership without needing years of management experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Barista and Beverage Service

• Prepare specialty coffee and non-alcoholic drinks to Jazzy's standards
• Learn and execute signature drink recipes and seasonal specials
• Maintain beverage quality, consistency, and presentation
• Provide friendly and knowledgeable service when discussing drink options Daily Café Operations
• Open and close the café using provided checklists
• Prepare and serve food including sandwiches, wings, and breakfast items
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming café environment
• Deliver fast, friendly, and consistent customer service Leadership and Team Support
• Support and guide team members during service
• Communicate clearly with ownership and management
• Lead by example with professionalism and a positive attitude Inventory and Organization
• Assist with inventory counts using Square, training provided
• Help manage café and food truck inventory
• Receive and restock supplies
• Monitor low stock levels and communicate needs Food Truck and Events Support
• Assist with food truck preparation and service on scheduled days
• Help with setup and breakdown for events
• Learn basic food truck operations and workflow Marketing and Customer Engagement
• Encourage guests to join the Jazzy's VIP email list
• Help update daily specials and in-store signage
• Assist with basic social media posts such as photos or short videos
• Share ideas for promotions, specialty drinks, and events Marketing experience is not required. Training is provided. Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Food Handler's Card required
• MAST Permit required or willingness to obtain before first day of employment
• One year or more experience in food service, barista work, or customer service preferred
• Comfortable working independently during a shift
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods What We Are Looking For
