Our goal is excellent customer service, quality products and a knowledgeable, personable team. We want to help employees develop skills they can carry throughout their careers. You'll work alongside our baristas and baristas-in-training, learn our established recipes and fine-tuned processes, and ensure everyone follows the same standards. This position includes making drinks, serving customers, cashiering, stocking and cleaning. Ideal Candidate Requirements 18 years or older. At least three years of barista experience , including espresso preparation. At least one year of experience supervising a team and training baristas. Proven ability to coach employees, address performance problems and maintain consistent drink quality. Ability to teach patiently, communicate expectations clearly and follow through. Boba and specialty-drink experience preferred. Flexible availability, including nights and weekends. Submit to and clear a pre-employment criminal background check. Responsibilities Make quality espresso, coffee, boba and specialty drinks. Train and coach baristas and baristas-in-training. Ensure established recipes, measurements and presentation standards are followed. Correct inconsistencies and follow up until standards are met. Build strong working relationships through clear communication, respectful feedback and hands-on leadership. Reinforce customer service, food preparation and sanitation expectations. Communicate promotions and new product information clearly. Keep management informed about training progress and recurring problems. Obtain management approval before changing recipes or procedures. Operate the cash register and assist customers. Rotate and stock tobacco products and cooler inventory. Clean workstations, equipment and bathrooms. Sweep the parking lot, empty garbage and take out recycling. Follow established policies, procedures and applicable regulations. Success in the First Few Weeks Learn our menu and processes, consistently make quality drinks, identify training gaps and begin correcting them. Show visible improvement in how baristas and trainees follow recipes, present drinks and serve customers. Follow through on expectations without repeated reminders from management. Read The Customer Rules by Lee Cockerell and apply its principles when serving customers and leading the team. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for more than four hours. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
