Job Description
Grace Coffee Cottage Grove is looking for a Barista to prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, including various types of coffee and tea. Barista duties include making espresso-based coffee drinks, preparing hot and cold beverages, such as lattes and cappuccinos, handing out bakery items and prepared food from the kitchen. We are a small company that works hard to provide a great environment for our employees. We have a small staff of about 12 people. We open everyday from 7:00am to 4:00pm. The schedule for this position is the afternoon shift from 12 pm to 4h30 pm Pay includes hourly rates plus tips. Duties and Responsibilities Prepare fresh made-to-order hot and cold beverages, including espresso drinks, smoothies, and teas. Serve food and beverages to customers as soon as they enter the establishment. Greet customers in a friendly manner. Receive orders from customers and enter them into the POS system. Check if the POS system has an accurate price or available discounts. Prepare fresh orders by following recipe guidelines. Cleaning various areas of the store, including the coffee shop area, the bar area, and the kitchen area. Stock inventory, including food items, drink products, and other merchandise. Work cooperatively with other staff members to ensure that customers receive excellent service. Other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor. Education/Experience/Skills High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous work experience in food service industry preferred. Basic math skills preferred. Ability to communicate effectively with customers and other staff members.
