We're looking for a Lead Barista to join our team at Tati Fitchburg, our trendy and vibrant coffee shop. This role is perfect for someone who loves crafting high-quality beverages, supporting teammates during busy shifts, and setting the tone for an excellent customer experience. As our Lead Barista, you'll take ownership of daily operations, help guide baristas on shift, and ensure every drink and interaction reflects our standards. Pay:

$17-$21 per hour (with tips included) Responsibilities Beverage Preparation & Quality Leadership Prepare and serve a diverse range of coffee and tea beverages with consistency, precision, and attention to detail. Consistently produce high-quality latte art; latte art proficiency is required and expected on all applicable beverages. Set and maintain beverage presentation standards, ensuring all drinks meet quality and visual expectations. Support and guide baristas on shift to uphold drink quality, speed, and consistency during peak hours. Customer Experience & Service Leadership Lead by example in engaging customers, assisting with beverage selection, and providing knowledgeable, personalized recommendations. Ensure food and beverage orders are prepared and delivered efficiently and accurately. Workspace & Shift Management Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary bar, kitchen, and prep areas. Ensure dishes and tools are cleared promptly to support smooth workflow. Monitor cleanliness and operational standards throughout assigned shifts. Cash Handling, POS & Shift Responsibility Accurately handle cash and card transactions. Operate and assist others with the POS system as needed. Support opening and/or closing duties and ensure shift responsibilities are completed properly. Team Leadership & Collaboration Act as a shift lead, supporting baristas and fostering a positive, efficient team environment. Help train and mentor team members, reinforcing coffee quality, latte art standards, and service expectations. Adapt to operational changes and contribute to continuous improvement. Requirements Demonstrated barista experience with proven latte art skills (required). Prior lead, shift lead, or supervisory experience (required) Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Reliable, organized, and confident in leading by example. A collaborative team player who supports and elevates others.
