Barista Assistant

Duties Assist in preparing and serving a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and light food items with precision and care Support baristas by managing POS (Point of Sale) systems for accurate transactions Ensure all food handling and preparation meet food safety standards and proper hygiene practices Maintain cleanliness of workstations, dining areas, and equipment to promote a safe environment Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including cash register operations and basic retail math calculations Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly, answering questions, and addressing concerns promptly Support inventory management by restocking supplies, monitoring product freshness, and assisting with food prep when needed Qualifications Previous barista or food service experience is preferred but not required; a passion for coffee and customer interaction is essential Familiarity with Square POS systems preferred Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for cash handling and retail transactions Knowledge of food safety standards, food preparation techniques, and proper food handling procedures Excellent communication skills with a friendly, energetic demeanor Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work flexible hours including weekends or evenings Join us to be part of a dynamic team that values energy, professionalism, and a passion for delivering exceptional café experiences.
