Anchorage, AK Job Details Part-time $22 an hour 7 hours ago Qualifications English High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Job Description Located in the Alaska Airlines Center, the Server position is responsible for delivering high quality services of food and beverage in a restaurant setting. Responsibilities Promptly greets guest and takes their order. Presents menu, answers questions, and makes suggestions regarding food and service. Follows TAPS ID verification and training guidelines. Ability to enter orders into POS (Point of Sale) Micros system. Relays order to kitchen and serves courses from kitchen and service bars. Prepares drink order, to include wine and beer. Observes diners to respond to any additional requests and to determine when meal has been completed. Serves food items to assigned tables in manner it was ordered. Totals up bills and accepts payments or refers patron to Cashier. Promptly clears and resets guest areas at conclusion of each course or service. Ensures food stations are stocked according to checklists. This position occasionally works Part-Time or On-Call. Breaks down service stations and cleans equipment. This position is not responsible for the supervision of staff. Other duties that are pertinent to the department or unit's success also may be assigned. Qualifications High School diploma or GED equivalent. Must be 21 years of age or older to serve and prepare alcohol. At least 1 year of server experience in the restaurant or food service industry. Observes extensive grooming, customer service, and uniform/ dress standards. Contract requires employees to speak, understand, read and write English. Preferences Municipality of Alaska Food Handlers Card or ServSafe Certification contingent upon 30 days of hire. Must have Training for Alcohol Professionals (TAP) certification; or have been formally trained in alcohol management/serving.
