Job Description
The Bartender is a front-line service position who prepares and dispenses alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for Chartroom servers and directly to lounge patrons seated at the bar. The position fulfills the role of food server, for patrons at the bar and as called upon to supplement service to customers within the lounge. The position is expected to fulfill all the requirements of a Land's End server. The Bartender enforces "best practices" adopted by the Chartroom Lounge by preparing beverages using fixed recipes and standards of presentation. All such duties must be carried out in a professional, conscientious and internally customer-friendly manner.
Essential Functions:
Help the teams fulfill Land's End's Mission to "Bring Joy to Our Customers Every Day." Before shift,prepare the barfor service with sufficient ice, garnishes, pre-mixes, syrups, liquors, wines, beer and supplies. Re-stock as necessary. During shift, prepare and dispense beverages ordered through the POS (i.e. no voice orders). Bus and wash bar glassware. Keep a clean and sanitized bar station at all times. Control lighting, temperature,entertainment and music to optimize guest experience. At close of shift, secure alcohol and perform assigned closing tasks.
Re-stock as required. Ensure cleanliness of bar and lounge for next shift. Coordinate end-of-shift closing with Security. Fulfill the role of server as required. Perform side work and other duties as requested. Report to Management of alcohol abuse or potential breaches in customer safety and security. Assist management with ordering and inventory counts as requested. Reconcile all shift cash and credit transactions.
Drop Shift Deposit. Leave bank for next shift.
Qualifications:
Must be 21 years old and possess a TAPS Card or equivalent and a Food Handlers card prior to start date. Ability to take direction, and to follow fixed processes, procedures, and policies. Able to bend, squat, lift 40 lbs. to waist high, climb stairs, and to stand for long periods. Able to meet and to maintain Land's End dress code and personal conduct polices.
