Job Overview We are seeking an energetic, personable, and professional Bartender to join our team at The Dirty Olive. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will ensure every guest feels valued while showcasing top-tier mixology skills in a upscale lounge setting.
Responsibilities Craft & Consistency:
Prepare and serve a premium menu of classic and signature cocktails, wine, and beer with precision, flair, and consistent quality.
Guest Engagement:
Engage with lounge guests in a warm, sophisticated, and professional manner, providing elevated customer service that drives repeat business and builds local loyalty.
POS & Technology:
Utilize the Toast POS system for accurate order entry, seat pacing, and seamless payment processing.
Cleanliness & Standards:
Maintain a pristine, organized, and fully stocked bar area, strictly adhering to all Alabama food safety, health department, and sanitation standards.
Responsible Service:
Monitor guest behavior to maintain a safe, welcoming lounge atmosphere, confidently managing serving limits and verifying identification responsibly.
Financial Accountability:
Handle all cash and card transactions efficiently, managing cash drops and balancing receipts at the end of your shift with accuracy and proper standard operating procedures.
Team Collaboration:
Work seamlessly with lounge floor staff, management, and support teams to ensure a fluid and high-end guest experience from door to bar.
Skills & Qualifications POS Proficiency:
Hands-on experience with modern point-of-sale workflows, specifically Toast POS, for smooth order and payment management.
Elevated Service:
Excellent customer service skills with a background in premium hospitality, upscale lounges, craft cocktail bars, or fine dining environments.
Mixology & Product Knowledge:
Strong foundational knowledge of spirits, classic cocktail builds, wine presentation, and contemporary beverage trends.
Operational Discipline:
Proven time management skills with the ability to remain calm, organized, and efficient under pressure during busy weekend rushes.
Compliance & Math:
Thorough knowledge of ABC regulations, responsible alcohol service protocols, and strong basic math skills for precise cash handling and shift-end balancing.
Team Fit:
A positive, energetic, and professional attitude that aligns with a high-standard hospitality culture.
