Responsibilities Prepare and serve a diverse selection of beverages, including cocktails, wine, craft beers, and non-alcoholic options, following established recipes and presentation standards. Engage with guests in a friendly, energetic manner to enhance their overall experience and promote beverage sales. Manage POS system such as Aloha POS to process orders accurately and efficiently while handling cash transactions with precision. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety and sanitation standards. Develop new beverage recipes and contribute creative ideas to enhance the bar menu, staying current with industry trends like mixology techniques and spirits knowledge. Monitor inventory levels of alcohol, mixers, garnishes, and bar supplies; communicate needs for restocking promptly. Collaborate with restaurant staff to ensure seamless service during busy hours and special events like banquets or catering functions. Uphold responsible alcohol service policies by checking IDs and recognizing signs of intoxication to ensure guest safety. Experience Proven experience working as a bartender in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment, preferably with fine dining or upscale bar settings. Extensive knowledge of spirits, wine varieties, craft beers, cocktail recipes, and beverage presentation techniques. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for processing transactions smoothly. Strong time management skills to juggle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours while maintaining quality service. Previous food service experience including food handling, serving, cashiering, or banquet service is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to develop new drink recipes and stay current with industry trends like mixology innovations and brewing techniques. Excellent customer service skills combined with a positive attitude that fosters guest loyalty and satisfaction. Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math for inventory management, and food safety knowledge to ensure compliance with health standards.
